We would like to welcome Fr. Mícheál Comer P.P. to our Parish.
Fr. Mícheál was born in Naas near the start of the Second World War. His father, a sargeant in the Gárdaí, came from County Galway, Glenamaddy. His mother was a native of Mayo, near Ballina – a good western mixture ! There were six boys in the family, our Fr. Mícheál came third in line. They lived in No. 1 Dublin Road until he was about 13, when they moved to Dublin. His older brother, Vincent, became a Holy Ghost Father, who sadly, died a few years ago.
After the C.B.S. Naas, Fr. Mícheál attended C.B.S. Brunswick St. in Dublin. He was ordained in 1964 by Bishop John Charles McQuaid.
He’ll find the parish of Eadestown a quiet place (we hope a haven) ater his nine years as P.P. in Portmarnock (where he swam in the sea every day – at least from May to October – he will have to do with the Annagaul now)! He loves football and hurling and has no real dislikes – hope he doesn’t pick up any in Eadestown !
Arís, Céad Míle Fáilte agus bail ó Dhia ort inniu, i gcónaí.
