1000 Medical Practitioners have stated the following, “As experienced practitioners and researchers in obstetrics and gynaecology we affirm that direct abortion – the purposeful destruction of the unborn child – is not medically necessary to save the life of a woman . We confirm that the prohibition of abortion does not affect in any way the optimal care to pregnant women.”
Pope Benedict has stated ” The fundamental human right, the presupposition of every other right, is the right to life itself. Abortion consequently cannot be a human right.”
Pope Francis says ” among the vulnerable for whom the Church wishes to care with particular love and concern are unborn children, the most defenseless and innocent among us. It is not “progressive” to try to resolve problems by eliminating a human life.”
