Advent Season

Advent has a twofold character. It is a time of preparation for the solemnities of Christmas in which the first coming of the Son of God to humanity is remembered and likewise a time when, by remembrance of this, minds and hearts are led to look forward to Christ’s Second Coming at the end of time. For these two reasons Advent is a period of devout and expectant delight. It is a time of waiting, conversion and hope.

Advent Wreath

The Advent Wreath, with the progressive lighting of its four candles is a recollection of the various stages of salvation history prior to Christ’s coming and a symbol of the prophetic light gradually illuminating the long night prior to the rising of the Sun of justice.

First Friday 2nd December

Next Friday is the First Friday of December. Mass will be offered for all those whose names are on the Parish Altar list of the Dead. Fr. Micheal will call with Holy Communion to the housebound. Also, exposition of the Blessed Sacrament in Eadestown Church on Friday 2nd December from 10.00am to 6.00pm. All welcome
