Saturday next, 6th January, is the Solemnity of the Epiphany of the Lord. The Epiphany celebrates the manifestation of Jesus as Messiah, Son of God and Saviour of the world. It is a Holy Day of Obligation. Vigil Mass for the Epiphany in Ballycane Church Friday 5th at 7.30 pm. Mass in Eadestown 11.30 am Saturday 6th January 2018.

Altar List of the Dead

Mass for all those on the Parish Altar List of the Dead will be offered on Friday 12th January as there will be no Mass in Eadestown on Friday 5th January.

Today is the Feast of the Holy Family of Jesus, Mary and Joseph. It gives us the opportunity to kick start our preparation for the World Meeting of Families to be held in Dublin in August (which Pope Francis is planning to attend).
Blessington Sunday Evening Mass

This Mass is being cancelled from the New Year. Fr. Teddy Downes, Valleymount, who had to retire due to illness, is not being replaced due to the lack of vocations. It is likely that further adjustment in Mass times in our cluster of Eadestown, Blessington and Valleymount will be needed in the not too distant future.
